Certification of the energy management system
Another important milestone on the path to “sustainability”
Sustainability means “the balance between satisfying the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs.
Arneg S.p.A., in line with its Corporate Policy that has led it to certify its management system according to ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and BS OHSAS 18001, has been involved for quite some time in activities aimed at the energy efficiency of its own products and the activities needed to create them.
Arneg S.p.A. is aware of the fact that the energy theme has an all-encompassing role within its organization and that “true” energy management can be achieved through the involvement of all those who work for the company. Therefore, it decided to give its own environmental sustainability another push by certifying its Energy Management system in compliance with UNI CEI ISO 50001:2011. This important goal was reached on December 10, 2013.
This recognition is the crowning achievement in a successful path that led Arneg S.p.A. to reach major milestones regarding energy savings and reducing the environmental impact of its corporate activities (just think that the equivalent kg of CO2 released in the atmosphere were reduced by 51% within 7 years) and to thus prove to its customers that it is a credible and reliable partner for designing and supplying systems, products and services with maximum attention to energy efficiency.
Arneg, as a case history of national importance, will be present at ITALIAN ENERGY DAY 2014 - Fontana di Trevi Convention Centre, Rome. Arneg has been asked to discuss its experiences, the commitments involved and the results achieved at ITALIAN ENERGY DAY 2014, the high-profile Italian event on Energy and Energy Management Systems.
Engineer Federico Pandolfo, Arneg’s Group Plants Director, and Massimo Forcolin, Safety and Environment Director, will speak in the plenary session and will talk about the path to success that has seen Arneg reach important targets, both in its own and its customers’ plants.
